Fun Mom Daughter Date Ideas
Spending quality time with your kids is so important, no matter if you have one or five. As a mom of 2, it’s not very difficult for me one on one time with my kiddos. My son is with me all the time since he’s only two and I’m a stay at home mom. It’s usually just the 2 of us during the day while my husband is at work and my daughter is at school.
But sometimes I get so distracted by my son and all the things I do on a daily basis I feel as if I don’t spend enough quality time with my daughter. So while I had some free time I decided to make a list of some fun activities my daughter and I could do together, just the two of us NO BOYS ALLOWED! I thought to myself why not turn this into a blog post to give other moms who might be looking for fun things to do with their daughters some ideas.

Let’s get into it, shall we?…
One of my favorite places to go as a kid was an amusement park. If you’re up for a little adventure with your little girl this is it. I used to LOVE roller coasters, not so much anymore, I get so dizzy when I step off of one now but the other rides are still amazing! The funnel cakes alone are worth the trip.
This one can be a little pricey depending on what kind of package you choose, but you can cut costs by simply going for manicures and pedicures, or just getting a facial together or a single massage. Whatever you choose a spa day can be a perfect day out! You could plan this in advance and make a day out of it by going for your facial or massage, taking her to lunch, then on a quick shopping trip. This can be a lot of fun for both of you and is a wonderful bonding experience.
These are also becoming really popular as many pottery shops are opening up. You can usually select what you want to paint, then get as creative as you want. If you have a creative or artistic daughter, she will enjoy this immensely. Let her pick her own items, such as a plate, bowl, or cup. She might want to decorate a cup that can hold her pens and pencils in her bedroom, or a picture frame to put in a picture of her dog or her friends.
Take a Cooking Class Together
There are often cooking classes specifically meant for a parent or child, but you can also take any type of cooking class with your daughter that isn’t an adults-only class. There are actually quite a few kid-friendly cooking classes, either for one night or specific holiday cooking fun. You can both learn how to make something together, while also spending some bonding time. Bring your finished dish home to enjoy with the rest of the family.
Another fun idea is to simply go see a movie together. Find a fun movie theatre your daughter will enjoy. For example, instead of a regular theatre, see if you can find a drive-in where you camp out in the back of your track with some popcorn and other snacks. You might also want to go the opposite direction and let her see what a luxury movie theatre is like for the first time. This can be a really fun experience for you both to have together.
Dressup Photo Shoot
Get dressed up in some of your nice clothes, maybe put on formal dresses you wear on special occasions do her makeup and have a photoshoot. You set up a tripod or have someone else take pictures of you guys being silly, pretending to be runway models or just dancing around. You’ll have beautiful memories of that moment and amazing pictures to share with friends and family!
Yes, Yes and Yes! Even though my husband would disagree hopping is always fun for any occasion. you don’t have to go crazy and spend a lot of money it can be as simple as buying a couple of tops or maybe even a matching mother-daughter outfit.
Do a scavenger hunt
Try a scavenger hunt and make it your own. Riddle me is a company that lets you create your own, It’s compatible with any computer that has a web browser so you could be playing Riddle Me together in just a few minutes.
Have a gaming night
Hook up the Xbox or whatever gaming system you have and play the night away. Nearly all kids and most adults enjoy playing video games from time to time. It’s entertaining and leaves room for open conversations for whatever you two might wanna chat about. I like playing Wii with my family, depending on the game you can even get in a good workout.
It’s so easy to get distracted with everything we have to do as moms but taking time out of your busy schedule to have one-on-one time with your daughter is vital to keeping your relationship strong.
These mother-daughter date ideas are a great way to bond with your little girl.
