First, let me drop the balloons and say congratulations on your new addition! Being pregnant is so exciting and I’m so glad you decided to stop by so I can tell you all about Amazon’s Baby Registry. A new baby needs a lot of love, attention, and stuff… let’s be honest here! That’s why you want to register with a well-known company that your friends and family will feel safe buying from.
I personally love Amazon and order from there quite frequently. I just wish I knew about their baby registry when I was pregnant. There are a lot of people out there who don’t know about this. Some of my friends felt the same way I did once finding out about this particular registry post-pregnancy.
Why have a baby shower?
I’ll give you 3 GOOD reasons…
1. Well, for starters you deserve one! Sharing your body with a tiny human for several months is no easy task. You’ve battled nausea, vomiting, aches, and pains in places you probably never would’ve guessed could hurt as much.
2. It really does take a village, even before the baby is born. Save some of your coins and let your family and friends pitch in, it’s not only good for you and the baby but I’m sure they’ll enjoy shopping for those adorable baby items.
3. Having a baby shower is a good way to let people know what you need besides the usual diapers and wipes. You’d be surprised at the number of people who really don’t know what to buy for a baby. So why not help them out with your very specific list?
Now that’s out of the way let’s jump right into why you should have an Amazon baby registry.
If you are an Amazon Prime member you get a free welcome box with surprise items. They send something for the baby and the parents valued up to $35. It contains a variety of products as well as samples and coupons. I love surprises and think this is a really cute and fun idea! Getting a gift for something you were gonna do anyway is a nice incentive. If you’re not already a Prime Member you can sign up here for a 30-day trial.
This one is really cool! You can add any item from any site to your registry. Let’s say you’re surfing the web and come across something you want that’s not on Amazon, you can still add it to your registry. You can even combine your other Baby registries by adding them to your amazon registry.
Most people hate waiting weeks for shipping (I’m one of them). But as a prime member whatever you order is at your door in two days, even the most impatient of us can wait two days.
One of my favs! I can’t tell you how many times I went to the store to stock up on things I needed around the house, food, paper towels, toilet paper, soap, etc only to realize once I got home I didn’t have as many diapers as I thought. When I found out about the diaper subscription through amazon prime I was pretty excited because that was one less thing I had to worry about. So basically once you order diapers you can click on a little box to have the same diapers delivered to you ay the same time each month. You can also save up to 20%.

While we’re on the subject of diapers… Amazon lets your friends and family donate any amount of money to your diaper fund. You receive this in the form of a gift card. Having an emergency diaper fund will always come in handy! But if your little one needs something other than diapers it can be used for anything else.
90 Day Returns
Most of the items purchased on your registry will be eligible for returns 90-days after purchase. It’s pretty easy to return items.
There are quite a few things we might need for a new baby that a lot of people may not consider affordable. And because of that many women stray away from putting high ticket items on their registry. Amazon has a group gifting feature that allows multiple people to contribute money towards high ticket items.
Nowadays EVERYONE has a smartphone well, most of us do anyway. I love the convenience of being able to get things done from my phone. The Amazon baby registry is so mobile friendly you can do set it up and do it all right there from your phone. No computer necessary!
If you still have items left on your registry after your baby shower Amazon offers a completion discount which in a nutshell is they offer 10% off to non-prime members and 15% off to prime members of the items left on their baby registry. They also give you up to 60 days after the due date you provided to use the completion discount.
When it comes to your baby shower you can’t go wrong with Amazon
If you haven’t already started your registry or you don’t have one on Amazon you can do that -> here. And once again congrats mama!
